About the Festival
For 200 days, the Rhine-Main region will host the presentation, discovery, and discussion of outstanding positions in photography and video. The thread running through all the exhibitions and events is the concept of time in photography today.
Which twentieth-century visual traditions have remained relevant for art photography and video today? How do current artistic images reflect new developments and paradoxes? And what does the past mean to the present day of images? These are some of the questions ―RAY 2012‖ will seek to explore.
